Here we will try and answer as many of your questions as possible... If the answer to your question isn't here then please email us or call and we will answer whatever it may be!
Q: What should I wear?!!
A: This is by far the most common question we hear, and the answer is simple...Whatever you like! Obviously we do pin up photography, so classic vintage, stockings, high heels and anything girly is perfect! If you are still stuck though, we have a links page full of clothes shops, vintage accessory stores and lovely independant businesses that will be more than happy to help you find your perfect outfit!
Q: If I ask for a painting, how will I know what it's going to look like!?
A: A good question if ever there was one! Truth be told, you won't know what it will look like exactly, that's half the fun! If you look on our links page though, the is a section with links to some gallery's of classic pin up art. These are fantastic for getting inspiration, and if you see a painting or style that you like, we will try and replicate it is closely as possible for your own personalised piece of art! Obviously we can't guarantee it will be exactly the same, but we will email you a proof of your chosen painting before sending it off to print, so you can tell us what you think about it, and if there are any changes you would like us to make, we will do our best to accomodate them!
Q: How long does it take to complete an order?
A: To complete an order usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks from start to finish. Because what we do is totally bespoke, it is difficult to say exactly how long it will take, but it is well worth the wait! Don't expect us to do a shoot and have a painting finished by the end of the week though, because each one takes up to 15 hours to create! In order to make sure you get your picture back for a special date such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday, please phone to book 2 months in advance if possible. We can hurry things along sometimes but can't make any promises, after all, you can't rush perfection!
Q: How does a photoshoot at my home work? Won't the pictures look awful if they havent been done in a studio!?
A: Not at all! What we do is bring all our own lighting and equipment, including a portable backdrop to your home. We can then either shoot using parts of your home as props, or shoot on the backdrop and use our magic photoshop fingers to make your pictures look amazing! The beauty of our digital painting is that we can magically transform your home into a palacial mansion or a moulin rouge boudoir, depending on your style, or even do an outdoor shoot at a location near you, weather permitting!
Q: How far do you travel to do photoshoots?!
A: Typically we will travel up to 15km to do a shoot, any further and there my be an extra charge. If you prefer, we can book you into a studio if you are coming to us from further afield for an extra £50, though you will get a full half day of shooting, rather than 2 hours for that extra money, so you will get even more choice in the images you can pick!
Q: Do you do finance?
A: For the moment, we don't do finance. What we do offer though is a half and half option. When you choose your images, if you want extra prints or enlargments you can choose to pay half upon order, and half once the order is ready for shipping. That way, you can spread the cost over the 4-6 weeks it takes to get the images ready!
